Privacy Policy
What Yard Wise Pro collects, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you get it removed. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
This policy explains how Yard Wise Pro (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit yardwisepro.com. It applies to this website only, not to any third-party site you reach by following a link from here.
The short version
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run a newsletter or maintain a mailing list. You can read every page on this site without giving us your name or your email address. The only information we hold about most visitors is anonymised analytics data and whatever your browser sends automatically.

We do not knowingly collect payment details, government identifiers, health information or any other sensitive category of personal data. If you send us something in an email that we do not need, we delete it.
Third-party services
Some processing happens through services we do not control. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and we recommend reading those directly.
- Google Analytics — aggregated traffic measurement. It sets cookies and processes a truncated IP address. It tells us that a page was read; it does not tell us who read it.
- Amazon Associates — our primary affiliate program. Clicking a product link places an Amazon cookie on your device so a qualifying purchase can be attributed to us. Amazon, not Yard Wise Pro, handles that data and any transaction that follows.
- Other affiliate networks — where we participate in additional programs, they operate on the same click-attribution basis.
- Our web host and CDN — process requests and keep server access logs in order to deliver the site and defend it against abuse.
- Google Fonts — the two typefaces this site uses are requested from Google’s font service when a page loads.
Cookies
Yes, this site uses cookies — small text files stored by your browser. We use them for analytics, affiliate attribution and remembering basic preferences. We do not use them to build advertising profiles. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though analytics and affiliate attribution will not. Full detail is on our cookie policy page.
How long we keep things
- Email correspondence — kept while a matter is open, then for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then deleted.
- Analytics data — retained according to the analytics provider’s own retention settings, in aggregated form.
- Server logs — rotated and discarded on our host’s standard schedule.
- Affiliate cookies — expire on the timetable set by each network, typically 24 hours for Amazon.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how it is processed, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Residents of California may additionally request disclosure of categories of personal information collected and opt out of any “sale” of personal information — we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any of these, email hello@yardwisepro.com with the subject “Privacy”. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies to you. We will never charge you for a request or treat you differently for making one.
Children
This site is intended for adults. Powered outdoor equipment is not a children’s subject, and we do not direct content at anyone under 13 or knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If this policy changes materially we will update the date below and, where the change is significant, note it on the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
