Cookie Policy

Which cookies this site uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to switch them off.

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets a site recognise a returning browser, remember a preference, or attribute a visit to a source. This page explains exactly how Yard Wise Pro uses them.

What we do not do with cookies

We do not run a display advertising network, we do not build behavioural advertising profiles, we do not operate retargeting pixels, and we do not sell cookie data to anyone. There is no newsletter cookie because there is no newsletter.

First-party and third-party

First-party cookies are set by yardwisepro.com and are limited to essential operation and preferences. Third-party cookies are set by services we use — principally Google Analytics and the affiliate networks we participate in. Those cookies are governed by the privacy policies of those providers, which we recommend reading directly. We do not control what they collect or how long they retain it.

Managing cookies

You are in control. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them individually or in bulk, block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or clear them automatically when you close the window. The settings sit under Privacy, Security or Site Settings depending on the browser, and browsing in a private or incognito window discards cookies when the window closes.

  • Blocking analytics cookies — the site works normally. We simply lose the ability to see which guides are useful.
  • Blocking affiliate cookies — the site works normally and your price is unaffected. We will not be credited for any purchase you make.
  • Blocking essential cookies — parts of the site may not display or perform correctly.

Most browsers also honour a “Do Not Track” or global privacy control signal. Where we can detect such a signal, we treat it as a request to limit non-essential tracking.

Similar technologies

Where this policy refers to cookies, it also covers comparable technologies such as local storage, session storage and tracking pixels used for the same purposes. The same controls and the same commitments apply.

Changes and questions

If our use of cookies changes we will update this page and the date below. For anything unclear, or to make a data request, email hello@yardwisepro.com. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
