Disclaimer
What our content is, what it is not, and where its limits are. This is the page that explains our research method in legal terms.
Everything published on Yard Wise Pro is for general informational purposes only. It is not professional advice, and it does not replace your operator manual or a qualified technician.
Research-based, not hands-on
This is the most important statement on the site
Our content is compiled from research, not from hands-on testing. Every conclusion is synthesised from manufacturer specifications, operator and service manuals, parts diagrams, published technical and safety standards, and verified owner reports gathered across retailers and owner communities. We do not operate the machines we write about, we do not run laboratory or field trials, and we do not measure equipment ourselves. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of personal use, hands-on trial, timed testing or laboratory measurement.
We take this seriously because the alternative is common and dishonest. Plenty of sites imply weeks of hands-on use they never had. We would rather tell you exactly what our conclusions rest on, so you can weigh them properly. Where a figure comes from a manufacturer, we say so. Where a pattern comes from owner reports, we say that too. Where nobody publishes a number, we write “not published” rather than estimating one.
Not professional or safety advice
Our guides describe general practice for classes of machine. They are not tailored to your specific model, its age, its condition, its modifications, your terrain, your local regulations or your physical capability. Outdoor power equipment can cause severe injury or death. Rotating blades, high-pressure water streams, hot exhaust surfaces, thrown debris, fuel vapour and electrical systems are all genuine hazards.
- Always read and follow your machine’s operator manual. Where it conflicts with anything here, the manual wins.
- Use the protective equipment the manufacturer specifies — eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, appropriate footwear.
- Disconnect the spark plug lead or remove the battery before servicing, sharpening or clearing a blockage.
- Never point a pressure washer at a person or animal. High-pressure water can cause injection injuries that look minor and are medical emergencies.
- Handle, store and dispose of fuel, oil and batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local law.
- If you are not confident performing a repair, take the machine to an authorised service dealer.
Accuracy
We work carefully, but we make no warranty that everything here is complete, current or error-free. Specifications, prices, availability and model line-ups change constantly and often without announcement. Manufacturers revise published figures, discontinue models mid-season and alter component suppliers within a single model year. Verify any specification that matters to your purchase against current manufacturer documentation before you spend money. If you spot an error, email hello@yardwisepro.com and we will correct it.
